Job & Responsibilities: The IT Engineer I will participate in software engineering development projects, utilizing both hardware and software engineering experience to support project planning, design, business analysis, development, testing, and vendor management.
Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent, with 3-4 years of related work experience.
Must work onsite in Overland Park office.
Shift flexibility is required, including at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday). Shifts may be day or evening, with evening shifts ending no later than 10 pm.
This is a Tier 2 support position within IT Network Operations, requiring 11x7 support coverage. Responsibilities include providing second-level support for network equipment such as routers, switches, content engines, broadband modems, Rap5s, and AP105s. The role involves working with vendors managing multiple carriers/LECs for connectivity restoration and assisting in resolving chronic issues permanently.
The role may also involve supporting and troubleshooting wide-area network solutions across various platforms, including broadband (cable, DSL, metro Ethernet), T1 circuits, and Wi-Fi networks.
