Business Analyst

Title: Business Analyst V Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid) Note: This is a W2 contract role – C2C & 3rd party candidates WILL NOT be considered The Business Analyst V will be integral to supporting and improving automated processes, streamlining critical business processes, ensuring data integrity and compliance, and securing applications. As a lead, the Business Analyst V will participate in a variety of assignments that provides for the enhancement, integration, maintenance, and implementation of projects. They will also provide application oversight to other Business Analysts in the team that support other applications in the area. Job Duties: Write high level functional requirement documents Perform business requirements analysis, conduct GAP analysis, and develop well defined detailed functional requirements Execute full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) tasks, including gathering requirements and writing functional/technical specifications for complex projects Develop functional design documents and work with stakeholders for review and approval Develop user stories and task breakdowns for Agile development projects Assist with Enterprise Architecture Solution Assessment (EASA), hosting document and Firewall Rules Assist with designing and documenting IT solutions that for State of Michigan standard technology Draft local Change Board documents, Requests for Information (RFI), and Requests for Proposals (RFP), such as IT Readiness Checklists Design, develop, and implement test plans and test reports for applications or subsystems Create or collect test data and execute approved tests to determine the accuracy of program logic to produce desired results Assist with UAT Testing, test case generation, and post implementation testing Assist in differentiating between defects and new requirements, providing defect tracking log entry information Assist with the implementation of Requests for Change (RFC) for application and infrastructure changes Maintain/update system documentation as a result of system upgrades Monitor applications during peak production times Provide application support for business client applications that are maintained by DTMB Deliver products and services based upon the core concepts of business analysis Job Qualifications: 8 years of business analysis experience within complex computer systems 8 years of experience developing functional requirements for development projects 8 years of experience developing and implementing test plans and test cases 8 years of experience creating, updating, and maintaining system documentation, as well as creating training plans and materials 5 years of implemented Agile development experience, including experience in test driven development Experience developing, prototyping, and mocking-up for user review and approval Exposure to flowcharts, screen layouts, and necessary documentation to ensure logical flow of system requirements Experience working on Agile projects Experience with Azure DevOps or a similar requirement and test case tracking application Experience working with HIPAA data A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field preferred Note: This is a W2 contract role – C2C & 3rd party candidates WILL NOT be considered
