Core Java Developer

Job Title: Core Java Developer – Trading Systems Duration: ASAP – Dec 31, 2025 Setup: Freelance contract inside ir35, daily rate through umbrella Location: Central London (3 days per week onsite, 2 days remote) About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Core Java Developer to enhance and build trading strategies and execution engines for our global trading platform. You will work closely with Trading, Quant, and IT teams, leveraging your technical expertise to drive platform innovation and business growth. Strong core Java development skills, experience with trading systems, collaboration with global teams, and a focus on algorithm development and platform optimization are key for this role. Key Responsibilities: Develop and optimize trading algorithms and execution engines using Core Java . Collaborate with global trading, quant, and IT teams to design, implement, and refine trading solutions. Manage a diverse project portfolio, including both greenfield algorithm development and enhancing existing trading technologies. Improve system performance, scalability, and execution quality across multiple asset classes. Key Technologies & Skills: Strong proficiency in Core Java (multithreading, concurrency, low-latency systems). Experience with algorithmic trading platforms and execution engines . Knowledge of distributed systems , high-performance computing , and real-time data processing is a plus. Ability to operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement.
