Akkodis is seeking a Solution Architect (APIGEE/Integration) for a Contract position with a client in Toronto, ON (Hybrid). Ideally, the successful candidate will have strong hands-on API development, stack migration, and back-end service-side development and Enterprise Integration/Middleware Solution, and cloud (GCP is highly preferred) architecture, components, and implementation use cases. The preferred candidate for large Canadian Banking/Financial Enterprise clients. Position: Solution Architect (APIGEE/Integration) Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid) Contract Must Have Skills 1) 10 years of relevant IT experience, with 5 years as a Solutions Architect / Principal Engineer, with demonstrated experience creating logical architecture diagrams, with architecture review board sessions, and working with senior stakeholders 2) 3 years of experience with hands-on API development, stack migration, and back-end service-side development 3) Experience with Security, Access Controls (IAM/OAuth/SAML, etc.), Network level controls (SSL, TLS, etc.), Error handling 4) Experience building and deploying CI/CD pipelines for cloud workloads using tools like Jenkins, GitHub actions, and infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) 5) 3 years of experience with cloud architecture, components, and implementation use cases Nice-To-Have Skills: 1) Experience with development in Apigee-based API solutions, ApigeeX 2) Experience with Enterprise Integration/Middleware Solutions 3) Experience with GCP Best VS. Average Candidate: Ideal candidate has strong API back-end development, API stack migration, Cloud experience, and GCP is a bonus. Has extensive experience in developing Apigee-based API solutions, setting up CI/CD pipelines and IaC, and establishing API development processes. Need someone who is a strategic thinker, can make decisions, and lead others with confidence. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: • Infrastructure readiness of the Google API Management Tool (APIGEE X) • Migrate the Apigee Edge workloads to ApigeeX • Collaborate closely with architects and Apigee/network/cloud engineers, building the API gateway platform of the future at the bank • Performs technical analysis, design, build, and deployment of highly complex/scalable API Platform. • Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines for Apigee Proxy deployments and testing. • Develop, support, and troubleshoot proxy flows, templates, and security features. • Facilitate automations in migrating Apigee Edge deployments to Apigee X. • Collaborate with vendors, internal and external teams to accomplish project success.
