As an Access Control Officer in a logistics and distribution environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, assisting with access control procedures, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. You will contribute to a positive environment by acting with integrity, collaborating with your team, and putting people first in every interaction. Pay Rate: $17.42 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTime Wed 06:00 PM - 02:00 AM

Thur 06:00 PM - 02:00 AM

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential issues.
• Document and report any irregularities, incidents, or suspicious activities according to site protocols.
• Assist with visitor management and direct individuals as needed within the logistics and distribution environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Maryland Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
