AWS Solution Architect Location: London, Manchester or Leeds (Hybrid) Salary: Up to £80,000 Benefits Clearance: Must be eligible for SC An industry leader in defence & digital transformation is hiring an AWS Solution Architect to support large-scale cloud migration programmes for high-impact government projects. You'll be the technical lead on cloud adoption work — shaping migration strategy, defining reusable architecture patterns, and driving automation across AWS estates. Expect hands-on collaboration with dev teams, influencing design decisions, and ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and production-ready. Key Responsibilities: Define and deliver AWS cloud migration architecture, reference models, and roadmap. Act as technical lead and escalation point for engineering teams. Promote Infrastructure as Code and automation across deployments. Conduct architectural reviews and optimise cloud patterns. Support agile delivery teams with best practice guidance and tooling. Experience Required: Strong AWS platform knowledge (multi-account environments, security, networking). Proven experience leading cloud migrations in enterprise or public sector settings. Familiar with CI/CD, DevOps, Agile, and Infrastructure as Code. Confident communicator with stakeholder and team leadership experience.
