Director of Cybersecurity / Associate Partner – IAM & DORA Location: Hybrid - Central London, UK Industry: Cybersecurity / Cloud / Advisory / Financial Services Salary: Up to £170,000 bonus full package About the Opportunity A newly launched cybersecurity advisory practice backed by a global tech powerhouse is looking for its founding Director of Cybersecurity — an IAM expert and DORA specialist — to help shape the next generation of digital resilience services. This is a rare opportunity to build your own domain from the ground up, leading advisory engagements across finance, insurance, and other regulated industries, while staying hands-on with the technology you love. The practice sits at the intersection of Cybersecurity, Data & AI, and Cloud Transformation, and is designed to bring strategic, high-impact advisory services to CxOs navigating complex regulatory and operational challenges. The Role As Director of Cybersecurity, you will lead and scale the IAM and Digital Resilience (DORA) capability — from client solutioning to delivery leadership, all while playing a technical architect’s role on key engagements. You'll partner closely with clients, executives, and cross-functional tech teams to deliver secure, scalable, and regulation-ready IAM strategies — especially for clients in regulated sectors such as banking and insurance. This is your chance to define offerings, build delivery teams, and shape a cybersecurity capability within a greenfield, high-growth environment. What You’ll Do Lead strategy, design, and implementation of IAM solutions across enterprise environments. Advise clients on DORA compliance, resilience frameworks, and IAM modernization. Stay hands-on with key technologies (e.g., Azure AD, SailPoint, Ping, Okta) and cloud-native security patterns. Drive pre-sales and advisory engagements, shaping proposals and delivering CxO-level briefings. Build reusable playbooks, accelerators, and go-to-market assets. Collaborate with peers in cloud, AI, and data to deliver integrated security transformation projects. Mentor technical consultants and shape the hiring roadmap as the practice scales. What We’re Looking For 10 years in cybersecurity, with deep expertise in IAM and access governance. Hands-on experience with enterprise IAM tools and Zero Trust architecture. Strong knowledge of DORA, especially in financial services, banking, or insurance contexts. Experience selling or delivering security advisory engagements to enterprise clients. Comfortable bridging business and technical conversations with clients and internal teams. Builder mentality: you enjoy shaping new offerings and capabilities from the ground up. Bonus Points Certifications like CISSP, CISM, or cloud security certs (Azure/AWS). Exposure to related domains: PAM, IGA, identity lifecycle, DevSecOps. Experience integrating IAM with modern cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP). Familiarity with regulatory frameworks like NIS2, GDPR, PSD2, or ISO 27001.
