Network Architect Salary – Up to £70,000 Location – Birmingham On-site Requirements – 5 days a week Clearance – Must be SC clearable The Opportunity: A leading technology services provider is seeking a Network Architect to support secure defence and national security projects. This is an opportunity to work on mission-critical infrastructure, delivering robust, cost-effective network solutions in a high-assurance environment. The Role: As a Network Architect you will design and implement medium-to-large scale network solutions, focusing on legacy and hybrid technologies. Responsibilities include: • Translating technical and business requirements into network designs • Producing design documentation and passing governance reviews • Configuring legacy and modern networking equipment • Troubleshooting issues and supporting smooth handover to operations Essential Requirements • Experience with TDM networks, including multiplexers, demultiplexers, and synchronization • Strong knowledge of SDH, WDM, ATM, Frame Relay, and circuit to packet emulation (CTP) • Proficient in configuring routers, switches, and older network devices • Understanding of QoS, secure routing, and encryption methods • Demonstrated troubleshooting and diagnostic skills • Experience producing technical design documentation • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills • Familiarity with defence or secure environments preferred Package and Benefits: • Salary – up to £70,000 • Car allowance - £6,000 • Bonus – 10% • Travel reimbursement for site visits • Professional development and training opportunities • Pension, holiday allowance, and standard employee benefits For more information please apply below or contact me directly.
