Solutions Architect

A leading organisation is seeking an AWS Solutions Architect to help shape and deliver impactful cloud migration journeys for enterprise clients. This is a high-impact role focused on defining and architecting modern AWS environments, working directly with stakeholders to design cloud-native solutions that are robust, secure, and built for scale. As a key player in the cloud transformation process, the AWS Solutions Architect will collaborate closely with customers to gather requirements, assess existing ecosystems, and define architectural patterns and services for seamless AWS migration. The role also champions reusable, automated infrastructure solutions—ensuring migrations are repeatable, efficient, and aligned to best practices. Key Responsibilities Lead technical design and enablement for cloud migration initiatives. Define, document, and evolve AWS architectural patterns and roadmaps. Run architectural reviews to align platforms with AWS best practices. Collaborate across development teams to deliver reusable, automated migration tooling and infrastructure as code. Guide engineering teams through optimization, troubleshooting, and incident response. Promote adoption of DevOps methodologies and automated deployment pipelines. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation to support scalability and reuse. Skills & Experience Ideal candidates will bring experience in many of the following areas: Proven expertise in AWS cloud architecture and enterprise cloud migration projects. Hands-on experience with multi-account AWS environments, reference architectures, and migration patterns. Strong knowledge of AWS services, including compute, networking, security, and identity. Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD tools (e.g., Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab CI). Understanding of AWS security best practices, compliance frameworks, and cyber security principles. Experience working within Agile delivery environments. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset. Desirable Qualifications & Experience While not essential, experience in any of the following areas would be a plus: AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Associate or Professional, Security or Advanced Networking Specialties). Agile certifications (e.g., SAFe®, Scrum@Scale). Mentoring junior engineers or leading cross-functional teams. Stakeholder engagement across technical and non-technical audiences.
