Cupertino, California, United States Job Title Senior Machine Learning Engineer - Maps Services Evaluation Description As a Machine Learning engineer on the Maps Evaluation team, you will develop AI-based techniques and tools to enhance the quality of Maps ML systems. You will evaluate GenAI-based Map features and collaborate with product managers, engineers, scientists, developers, and statisticians to improve a core product used by millions worldwide. Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of software development experience in languages such as Java or Python 5+ years of experience designing and evaluating search or recommendation systems 5+ years of hands-on experience training ML models for production Master’s degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related fields Proven ability to collaborate with PMs, developers, and ML engineers/scientists Preferred Qualifications PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related fields, with publications Experience building and evaluating GenAI-based products or features Proficiency with analytical tools like Jupyter Notebook for data analysis and visualization Additional Information Apple offers a total compensation package including base pay (range: $175,800 - $312,200), stock options, benefits such as medical, dental, retirement plans, discounts, educational reimbursement, and potential bonuses or relocation assistance.
