Senior SAP PP/DS Consultant

Role: SAP PP/DS Consultant Location: Canada - Remote Duration: 12 month Mandatory Skills and Qualifications: Advanced SAP PP/DS Expertise: In-depth experience with SAP PP/DS, including configuration, detailed scheduling, heuristic planning, pegging strategies, and optimizer use. End-to-End Implementation Experience: Demonstrated ability to lead and support full project lifecycles—from design and configuration to deployment and post-go-live support—within manufacturing or supply chain domains. Strong Integration Knowledge: Solid understanding of how PP/DS integrates with SAP core modules such as Production Planning (PP), Materials Management (MM), and components of APO or IBP. Comprehensive Planning Knowledge: Expertise in demand management, material planning, and capacity scheduling within SAP environments. Testing and Quality Assurance: Proficient in conducting unit testing, integration testing, and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure stable and reliable system performance. Support and Performance Optimization: Skilled in providing post-implementation support, resolving system issues, and optimizing performance. Process Improvement Focus: Capable of identifying areas for automation and process enhancement using industry best practices. Optional Skills and Additional Knowledge: SAP S/4HANA Embedded PP/DS: Working familiarity with the embedded version of PP/DS in SAP S/4HANA, including its planning architecture and capabilities. SAP APO/SNP: Exposure to SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO), particularly Supply Network Planning (SNP), beneficial for transitioning or hybrid environments. Cross-Module Understanding: Basic to intermediate knowledge of related SAP modules (MM, PP) and their integration points with PP/DS processes. SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP): Foundational experience with IBP modules such as Demand, Supply, or Response Planning. Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES): General understanding of MES solutions and their interactions with planning systems to support seamless execution.
