Job Detail: Head of Product / Product lead Reporting to: Chairman Job Description About us August is a full-service, real-estate development company, based in London, United Kingdom, and specialising in luxury holiday home collections across Europe. The company was founded in 2018 and has since grown to be the premier lifestyle holiday home platform. Job summary We are seeking a strategic Head of Product to join our team. This role is central to driving August's product strategy and innovation across all business functions. The ideal candidate will have a hospitality background and hands-on product leadership experience. This position requires a strategic thinker who can enhance, develop and maintain our product use across all departments, ensuring seamless functionality and continuous improvement. Your key responsibilities will encompass: Strategic Leadership: Advise on the current product strategy and present new and improved methods of functionality and day-to-day operations. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with all in-house teams including legal, finance, operations, HR, client experience, sales, marketing, and growth. Product Innovation: Lead the re-strategising of product use across the business to optimise performance, efficiency and productivity gains - directly measured. Team Management: Oversee the product team, including the Product Manager, and a team of remote developers and UI/UX designers Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leadership to align product strategies with company goals and objectives. Special Project Management: leading the overall technology adoption and change across the business functions to ensure efficiency, accuracy and resource optimisation are at the core of the Product delivery roadmap Own the entire technology stack. IT management including security infrastructure and companywide software licenses management Budget ownership and management for successful roadmap delivery, skillfully balancing cost and business priorities Day to day Website and Booking system ownership, monitoring, maintenance and updates Elaborate documentation of projects, features and requests to ensure cohesive solution development that is well documented and can be referred to in the future The person to fill this role will have: A minimum of 5 years of industry experience from previous product leadership roles. Experience with Hubspot, Mews PMS, no-code database structures and web platforms, Sage and other related software Remote team structure management experience, working across different timezones Project scoping, management, implementation and maintenance of medium size projects Curious about new technologies, AI developments and how software can improve productivity You probably have been in a product role in a mid-size or fast-growing company Relevant qualifications and a proven track record of driving product strategy and implementing change across the organisation and teams.
