Our client is a leading global investment management firm, seeking a Data Engineer to join an experienced team responsible for managing all data feeding into trading strategies across various asset classes and leveraging data pipelines heavily in your day-to-day to carry out the following: Job Responsibilities: Understanding new and existing data products delivered by data vendors and liaising with them as a technical stakeholder. Using Python coding to translate these products into datasets optimised for trading system consumption. Create and maintain automated data quality tests to ensure all datasets meet the standards determined by quant strategies. Support the day-to-day operations of data pipelines by responding to issues and solving real-time problems. Requirements: Bachelors or Masters degree in a STEM subject. 2 years experience in Python and SQL. Experience working with large datasets. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills. Advantageous: Any operational experience supporting real-time systems. Working knowledge of Amazon S3, Airflow, Kafka, Docker.
