IT Support Engineer - £30,000 DoE - Manchester A growing and forward-thinking business is seeking a skilled 1st/2nd Line Engineer to join its IT team during an exciting phase of expansion. This role has come about due to genuine business growth and offers a clear pathway for progression. Alongside day-to-day support responsibilities, you’ll also gain valuable project experience, particularly with the integration of a newly acquired business and the transition of its IT infrastructure in-house. This is a hybrid role, with 3 days per week onsite at the company’s Manchester office and 2 days working from home (post-probation). Key Responsibilities: Deliver 1st and 2nd line support to users, resolving a wide range of IT issues. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking problems. Administer and support the Microsoft 365 suite. Set up and manage user accounts, access permissions, and support onboarding/offboarding. Build, configure, and maintain hardware such as laptops and desktops. Assist with IT projects, including the in-house integration of a newly acquired business. Maintain accurate IT documentation, asset registers, and internal knowledge bases. Key Skills & Experience: Proven experience in a 1st and/or 2nd line IT support role. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows environments. Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including DNS and DHCP. Hands-on experience supporting and configuring hardware.
