PHP Developer Manchester (on-site five days a week) Candour have partnered with a thriving SaaS in the compliance sector looking to scale their already succesful platform, through the growth of their engineering team. They're looking to hire junior & midweight PHP developers that have the technical ability to hit the ground running, whilst eager to learn too. They are looking for a driven and communicative individual with at least a year and a half of commercial experience in development, using PHP as the core language, with FE experience using JS, jQuery, HTML/CSS. They use MySQL and AWS too so experience in either, or both is a plus Required Skills PHP : Strong experience in backend development using PHP. They use a custom MVC framework. JavaScript ​: Basic understanding, with knowledge of front-end frameworks like Vue.js or React being a plus HTML5 and CSS 3: Ability to develop responsive, user-friendly, and visually appealing interfaces API s: Experience in creating and integrating RESTful APIs for seamless data exchange Database s: Proficiency in relational database systems such as MySQL Version Contro l: Hands-on experience with Git or similar version control tools Key Responsibilities: Build and optimise a PHP-based SaaS platform alongside an experienced team, adding new features, fixing bugs, and maintaining the system when necessary. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable, and efficient backend solutions using PHP Implement and maintain secure systems in compliance with industry standards and best practices Create, integrate, and document RESTful APIs to support seamless communication between systems Support and troubleshoot existing platforms, ensuring issues are resolved promptly Participate in front-end development efforts using JavaScript to enhance the functionality of web applications PLEASE NOTE: Candidates from outside the UK, or those who will require visa sponsorship - the business requires people to be able to commute to the office in Cheshire and they do not have a sponsorship licence - please do not apply from outside the UK or if you required sponsorship*
