RPG Developer Yorkshire (Hybrid Working) Leading UK Manufacturer £50,000 - £55,000 Chapman Tate is proud to be partnering with a highly successful and fast-growing UK Manufacturer in their search for an experienced RPG Developer to join their in-house development team. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a pivotal role within a thriving business that has fully embraced the power of the IBM i / AS400 platform. You’ll work alongside – and ultimately help support – a lead developer who has architected and implemented an end-to-end suite of business-critical applications spanning stock, warehousing, finance, and operations. Why This Role? This business has built a rock-solid core system on IBM i, integrating seamlessly with their customer-facing website, payment providers, logistics partners, and third-party apps via API and SFTP. As the company continues its rapid expansion, they’re looking to future-proof their systems and bring in an additional RPG Developer to help support and evolve the platform. You’ll have the opportunity to: Support and enhance existing systems across multiple departments. Develop and integrate new functionalities to meet the demands of a growing operation. Contribute to key technical decisions and collaborate with senior stakeholders. Work on high-impact projects across the digital supply chain. ✅ What You’ll Need: Solid experience with RPG development on the AS400 / IBM i platform . Strong understanding of database structures and business logic within warehousing, finance, or operations. Experience integrating systems with APIs and/or SFTP processes. Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams. A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a small development function. Location & Working Style: Based in Yorkshire – hybrid working available. Some onsite presence required due to the hands-on nature of the systems and collaboration with operational teams. Salary & Benefits: Salary of £50,000 - £55,000 depending on experience. Opportunity to work within a stable, profitable, and expanding business. Direct impact on systems that underpin the entire organisation.
