Backend Python Engineer (SQL Regulatory Reporting) London / WFH to £120k Are you a data savvy backend focussed Python Engineer with a strong knowledge of financial regulatory requirements? You could be progressing your career, in a senior, impactful role at a global prime broker that is replacing the legacy infrastructure used across capital markets with a new cloud-native clearing and custody system, designed for today's complex global markets. The company is experiencing great success and is expanding into the UK. As a Backend Python Engineer you will partner with key stakeholders across the Compliance, Finance and Treasury teams to understand regulatory / financial obligations and business requirements and translate them into clean designs and scalable solutions. You'll build systems from scratch to comply with UK regulatory requirements, collaborating with business users and working across the full development lifecycle to create solutions that process large amounts of data from the data warehouse to generate clean, correct reporting including building out reconciliation. About you: You have strong Python and SQL coding skills plus database design experience You have experience generating complex financial industry regulatory reports like EMIR, MFID, SFTR, CPR, K Factor etc. You are collaborative and pragmatic, able to take ownership and work with others You have experience across the full development lifecycle You have experience within a Fintech environment with an understanding of Capital Markets, Prime Brokerage or Equity Swaps You are degree educated in Computer Science or closely related discipline What's in it for you: As a Backend Python Engineer you receive a competitive package: Salary to £130k Equity Pension Hybrid working Influential role at a growing company with excellent career progression and interesting work Apply now to find out more about this Backend Python Engineer (SQL Regulatory Reporting) opportunity.
