Network Platform Engineer

Network Platform Engineer Salary : £60,000 – £65,000 per year (DOE) bonus Location: Hybrid (2/3 days per week in London) Company & role A leading IT solutions provider specialising in Cloud, Security, and Network solutions. As a Network Platform Engineer, you will join the Platform Services team, playing a crucial role in designing, engineering, and maintaining the company’s network solutions and products for customers. Why This Role Stands Out Work with cutting-edge network technologies and influence vendor and product choices Combine engineering expertise with hands-on troubleshooting and final-tier support Thrive in a company culture focused on ownership, passion, and creating real client value Key Responsibilities Analyse and design the refreshed core network, including vendor selection, lab testing, and migration Consolidate and upgrade legacy network support systems Configure, operate, and manage capacity across the core network Drive platform-wide changes, such as feature rollouts or software upgrades Collaborate with internal teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions Serve as a subject matter expert, supporting product development, supplier evaluation, and customer-facing engagements Ideal Experience CCNP, JNCIS, NSE4 certification or equivalent-level hands-on experience Strong background working with Juniper and Cisco routers and switches in a service provider environment Proven ability to create technical documentation and execute solution test plans Solid grasp of connectivity and security solutions (SD-WAN, firewalls, LAN/Wi-Fi), MPLS, ISP, OSPF, and BGP Bonus points for experience in vendor troubleshooting, datacentre operations, automation, and commercial awareness
