Overhead Line Design Engineer

Currently we’re looking for a Senior OHL Design Engineer to support on NG schemes on a 12 month consulting basis. This can be flexible working arrangement (part-time hours considered), remote working and is outside IR35. Roles and Responsibilities: Undertake the design and development of OHL projects, ensuring compliance with technical and safety standards, and client requirements. Act as CDAE on behalf of the schemes Develop technical solutions and provide guidance on all aspects of OHL design, including conductor sizing, insulation selection, lightning protection, structure and foundation design and analysis. Review and approve technical documents, such as specifications, drawings, and calculations ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the required quality standards.
