FTM Developer - Remote

We are currently seeking an experienced IBM FTM Developer to join our remote delivery team, supporting clients across North America. Position Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled FTM Developer with deep expertise in IBM’s Financial Transaction Manager (FTM) platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PFS (Payment Feature Services) , DSU , and containerization technologies such as RHOS and ARO . You’ll be responsible for enhancing, customizing, and supporting FTM solutions for payment processing, integration, and transaction lifecycle management. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain custom solutions using IBM FTM Base platform. Configure and implement PFS services including: Business rules workflows DSU (Data Services Utility) Collaborate with architects and cross-functional teams to extend FTM functionality. Perform system upgrades, troubleshooting, and version migrations (particularly within the 4.0.x version range). Package and deploy services using Red Hat OpenShift (RHOS) and Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO) . Write and maintain technical documentation, workflows, and system configurations. Ensure high-quality code and compliance with security and performance standards. Required Skills & Experience: 6–8 years of hands-on development experience in IBM FTM Base . 3–5 years of experience working with PFS services , including: Business rules Workflow orchestration DSU (Data Services Utility) Proven experience with IBM FTM version 4.0.x or similar releases. Hands-on experience with containerization and cloud-native deployments , specifically using: RHOS (Red Hat OpenShift) ARO (Azure Red Hat OpenShift) Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently in a remote and collaborative environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with real-time payment systems or financial transaction lifecycles. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Familiarity with IBM MQ, Kafka, or other integration middleware is a plus. Why Join Cogency?
