Infrastructure and Storage Engineer

Key Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and maintain robust infrastructure and storage solutions. Implement infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, Puppet, and Ansible. Ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability by monitoring key service health metrics. Manage virtualization environments and containerized platforms for optimized workload deployment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure and compliant IT operations. Perform system hardening and encryption in accordance with security best practices. Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to improve operational efficiency. Utilize log ingestion and monitoring tools to analyze and troubleshoot infrastructure issues. Document configurations, procedures, and technical processes in a clear and concise manner. Required Skills and Experience: Advanced understanding of Linux operating systems (Ubuntu / CentOS / RHEL). Strong experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) principles. Expertise in configuration management tools: Puppet and Ansible. Proficient in orchestration tools such as Terraform. Familiarity with DCIM/IPAM tools (e.g., NetBox). Log ingestion experience with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Filebeat, Syslog, and Graylog. Hands-on experience with containerization platforms: Docker and Kubernetes. Virtualization experience with VMware 7.x environments. Working knowledge of cloud platforms, especially AWS. Proficiency in databases: PostgreSQL and/or MySQL. Experience with web/application servers such as Apache or NGINX, and WSGI. In-depth understanding of service health metrics and monitoring systems. Experience in secure infrastructure deployment and system hardening practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Desirable Skills (Nice to Have): Familiarity with SIEM solutions and security event correlation. Experience with data replication, backup, and recovery strategies. Palo Alto Firewall administration experience. Scripting proficiency with Bash and Python.
