Configure and maintain Microsoft Purview solutions, aligning with DOR and Commonwealth goals and best practices.
Use Microsoft Purview to ensure data classification and data loss prevention are implemented across all Office 365 Cloud environments.
Provide strategic guidance and hands-on expertise to cross-functional teams working in the Purview implementation.
Ensure labels are accurately captured and organized to be accessible and understandable for users.
Work closely with data owners to identify and document business and technical metadata for critical data elements within covered information domains.
Collaborate with agencies across the Commonwealth to identify best practices for data labeling and data loss prevention.
Conduct training sessions to educate technical users on Microsoft Purview functionalities and best practices.
Contribute to the development of data governance policies and enterprise strategies for data migration to the cloud.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define data management requirements.
Qualifications
Experience with Microsoft Purview, including configuration and maintenance in large-scale enterprise environments.
Proven experience leading the development of Purview policies for data labeling and data loss prevention across multiple projects.
Experience with email, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams.
6+ years in the IT industry with 4+ years specifically working with Microsoft Purview.
Experience working in team environments and with structured development processes, including change management and defect tracking.
Knowledge of formal testing principles and experience collaborating with quality assurance teams.
Background in data security and cybersecurity, preferably within a CISO office.
Experience with government Purview projects at the state or federal level.
Ability to write and update formal data protection requirements.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Knowledge of IRS Publication 1075 requirements is preferred.
Experience with Jira and testing tools is desirable.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
