Senior Consultant - Linux Salary: Up to £80,000 (DOE) £7k Bonus Location: London or Portsmouth Hybrid: Remote with onsite 2-4 times a month We’re working with a top-tier Managed Service Provider looking to hire a Senior Linux Consultant to deliver expert-level consultancy across Linux, VMware, and cloud platforms. You'll lead technical solutions, support key infrastructure projects, and contribute to data centre migrations. Location: London or Portsmouth (with UK-wide client site travel) Clearance: Must hold or be eligible for SC Clearance Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality technical consultancy to clients across infrastructure projects Lead or contribute to small/medium-sized technical engagements Design, implement, and support Linux-based solutions (RHEL, Oracle Linux, CentOS) Support data centre migrations and hybrid cloud integrations (AWS/Azure) Provide guidance to junior consultants and ensure project deliverables are met Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Requirements: 3–5 years in a technical consultancy role Strong Linux/UNIX expertise (RHEL, Oracle Linux, Solaris, HPUX) Hands-on experience with VMware, Hypervisors, AWS/Azure Solid scripting and automation knowledge Data centre migration experience Services offered by Computappoint Limited are those of an Employment Business and/or Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy
