About the Role
The Company is seeking a Deputy Chief Information Officer for Public Safety to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be a key member of the executive team, providing vision, leadership, and execution of enterprise-class technology solutions that meet the critical needs of the public safety agencies. This role involves strategic and tactical planning, technology evaluation, and selection, as well as the oversight of the implementation and assessment of technology infrastructure systems and services. The Deputy CIO will be responsible for fostering high-performing teams, adopting modern technology strategies, and ensuring the effective use of technological, financial, and human resources. Applicants must have a BA/BS degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with a minimum of 10 years' work experience, including at least 5 years in IT management or program management, preferably in a large governmental or highly regulated entity. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in IT planning, strategy, and architecture, and experience in leading organizational and technology change initiatives. Essential skills include a commitment to continuous improvement, strong communication, and the ability to build effective relationships. Desirable skills include expertise in public safety technical domains and experience with compliance needs such as PCI, HIPAA, and CJIS. The Deputy CIO will also be responsible for managing a diverse team, so experience in leadership, mentoring, and fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion is essential.
