Business Systems Analyst Location: Manchester (Hybrid) Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent The Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Systems Analyst to join a growing and forward-thinking organisation. This role will play a crucial part in optimising business processes, enhancing systems, and acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams. What You’ll Be Doing: Analyse and improve business processes, workflows, and systems to support operational efficiency. Liaise with stakeholders across departments to gather, document, and translate business requirements into functional specifications. Drive improvements in data usage and reporting by developing SQL queries and performing data analysis. Support delivery of system enhancements and process changes, ensuring alignment with business needs. Facilitate workshops, interviews, and process mapping exercises to gather insights and document current/future state processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, operations, and finance to deliver successful system solutions. What We’re Looking For: Proven experience in a Business Systems Analyst or similar role, ideally within the insurance or wider financial services sector. Strong SQL skills for querying and analysing data. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to manage expectations and build strong working relationships. Demonstrated experience in process improvement, workflow optimisation, and requirements gathering. Ability to work in a hybrid environment, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
