Business Analyst – Investment Management – Permanent My client is a leading investment management business looking to hire a Business Analyst to join their Change Management team, supporting a wide range of transformation and infrastructure improvement initiatives. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their career across business change, investment operations and technology. You will initially focus on the onboarding of newly acquired funds following a major acquisition, working closely with teams across Investments, Operations, Engineering and Quant. The role offers excellent exposure across the business and an opportunity to influence the future operating model of a growing investment firm. What is expected by the Business Analyst: Work closely with internal stakeholders to capture, analyse and document business requirements. Support the onboarding of new funds – understanding operating differences and defining scalable solutions. Analyse the current operating model to identify key gaps and improvement areas. Collaborate with Quant and Engineering teams to implement, test and deliver change. Track risks, blockers and dependencies, escalating as needed to ensure smooth delivery. Use tools such as JIRA and Confluence to manage workflows and document user stories. Essential skills required by the Business Analyst: 2–5 years’ experience in a business analysis type role. Bachelors degree, ideally within a STEM subject. Previous experience working in financial services or investment operations. Strong communication skills – able to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Excel, and Confluence. Detail-oriented, logical thinker with a proactive and problem-solving mindset. Desirable skills required by the Business Analyst: Exposure to SQL, Hive, or other data querying tools (not essential). Understanding of financial instruments (e.g. swaps, FX, derivatives) or fund operations. Experience working in an Agile or user story-led environment.
