Data Center It Specialist
Responsible for end-to-end delivery of enterprise data center IT infrastructure service tasks, including proficient use of corporate service management applications and effective collaboration and request fulfillment skills.
Installation and removal of premise and computer room IT hardware and network cabling
Action Change and Incident management support requests: Respond to network problems, identify root cause and effect corrective actions while effectively collaborating with peers, customers and leadership
Action Smart Hands (IT hardware) repair and upgrade tasks: PSUs, DIMMs, CPUs, storage devices, motherboards, NICs, base configuration deployment, etc.
Execute infrastructure delivery and support tasks without interrupting active data processing
Utilize corporate workflow management tools
Deliver services within deadlines and SLAs
Interact with leadership, peers and customers: Assess and determine IT service request infrastructure and delivery requirements. Identify and escalate problems; collaboratively develop solutions; and successfully deliver new infrastructure
Manage projects and schedules in support of workflow delivery
Manage and maintain raised floor infrastructure databases
Support leaders in developing and implementing policies, standards and procedures
Ability to work a shift schedule (2nd Shift)
Three years demonstrated work experience in mission critical environments
Advanced knowledge of data center computer room infrastructure
Fundamental working knowledge of EIA/TIA cabling standards and best practices
Ability to accurately perform network cable testing and certification
Physically capable of performing the duties of the position, including safely bending, squatting, stretching and lifting up to 35 pounds on a regular basis.
Proven analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
General working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite desktop applicants
Highly motivated, self-directed and detail-oriented individual
Ability and willingness to acquire new and evolving job-related skills
Strong oral and written communications
CompTIA A+ and Server+ training and credentials a plus
Cisco Certified Networking training and credentials a plus
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Must have ability to stoop, stand, climb, frequently lift a minimum of 50 lbs. of equipment (pumps, tools, ladders) and safely install rigging/lifting devices
Regularly required to crouch and reach to install/move equipment by bending forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine
Involves movement between departments, floors, and properties to facilitate work
Ability to speak clearly so others can understand you
Ability to read and understand information presented orally and in writing
Regularly required to utilize vision abilities, allowing reading of printed material, drawings, and schematics
