Job Summary

The Technical Writer is responsible for writing and maintaining user manuals, assembly instructions, product labels, and other external documentation.

Job Description

Tasks Include:
  • Planning and writing new documentation
  • Editing existing documentation, while maintaining style continuity
  • Writing, routing, and tracking DCNs
  • Monitoring the status of ECOs
  • Working with Engineers and other SMEs to create content for user documentation
  • Working with the Nidec contact to keep our content and documentation current on our website
  • Performing other tasks, as necessary
Skills and Experience Required:
  • Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to write precisely and concisely for multiple audiences
  • Capable of learning and understanding new applications quickly
  • Proficient at using the following software:

Adobe FrameMaker

Adobe Illustrator

Microsoft Office Suite

Adobe RoboHelp

Adobe Photoshop

Label Matrix

Other Qualifications/Experience:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possesses a bachelor's degree or higher in Technical Writing, English, or related field
  • At least two years of technical writing experience documenting both software and hardware

Salary $75k - $85k
