Role: Senior Network Engineer (Telecoms) Location: Remote, UK Day Rate: £550-£630 per day (Inside IR35) Contract Length: Minimum 6 Months We're looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our growing team and take ownership of designing, delivering, and optimising scalable, secure network solutions. Solving complex problems across access, core, DWDM, automation, and security domains. Leading projects and initiatives, acting as a subject matter expert in your field. Driving quality, consistency, and continuous improvement in everything you touch. Collaborating across teams to turn business requirements into smart, technical solutions. What You’ll Bring: Solid experience in large-scale network engineering, ideally with a focus on: Layer 2 & 3 technologies (Ethernet, MPLS, CoS, QoS, IPv4/IPv6) Mixed vendor environments and tech migrations Tools like Splunk, Jira, Ansible Strong scripting/programming skills (e.g., Python, Ansible) Sharp analytical and troubleshooting skills A proactive mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and project planning abilities Familiarity with ITIL and network monitoring/inventory systems Understanding of the Telecoms Security Act Experience working in both agile and waterfall environments Degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience)
