Design System Tech Lead - Up to 80k10% Bonus - Manchester We are seeking a Design System Tech Lead to spearhead the development of a new component library from scratch for a growing tech company in Manchester. The successful candidate will prioritise user experience by delivering clear and contextual data visualisations that help users comprehend the real-world implications of sensor readings. You will conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and collaborate with designers and product managers to transform user stories and designs into functional, intuitive user interfaces. Your role will involve participation in design reviews, providing technical feedback, and implementing complex data visualisations and interactive dashboards using Chart.js. Additionally, you will explore and evaluate other visualisation libraries as required, while staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in front-end development, including JavaScript frameworks, libraries, and tools. A key aspect of this role is to proactively identify opportunities to enhance our front-end stack. You will also play a pivotal role in mentoring and guiding junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team, and sharing knowledge and best practices.
