We're seeking a R&D Software Engineer with deep experience in flow meter integration and knowledge of Compressed Gas Association (CGA) standards to help develop cutting-edge products used in electrification, process automation, and sustainable energy infrastructure. In this role, you’ll work on safety-critical and performance-sensitive systems that combine robust hardware with intelligent software. From developing low-level embedded code to real-time flow data processing and system compliance, you’ll be at the center of engineering innovation with global reach. What You’ll Do: Design and implement embedded software for flow control and monitoring systems Develop real-time signal processing and data acquisition algorithms Ensure product compliance with CGA and related industry standards Interface with a variety of flow meter technologies (thermal, Coriolis, differential pressure, etc.) Integrate communication protocols like Modbus, CAN, and I2C into system architecture Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and systems engineers to bring R&D concepts to life Participate in validation, testing, and documentation across the full product lifecycle Travel up to 25% for site integration, field testing, and cross-location collaboration What You Bring: 3 years of experience in software engineering for industrial or embedded systems Strong proficiency in C/C++, embedded C, or Python Experience working with gas or fluid flow meters in real-world applications Solid understanding of CGA standards and their role in system safety and compliance Background in embedded systems development and microcontroller platforms Familiarity with industrial protocols and fieldbus communication (e.g., Modbus, CAN, PROFIBUS) Bonus If You Have: Experience in process industries, energy, or factory automation systems Familiarity with IEC safety standards and industrial control systems Knowledge of RTOS or embedded Linux environments Exposure to LabVIEW, MATLAB, or other engineering tools Experience with IoT, remote monitoring, or edge computing in industrial applications
