The Work The Senior ServiceNow CMDB Consultant will play a critical role in evaluating, optimizing, and enhancing Equitable Bank’s ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB). This role involves a comprehensive assessment of the current CMDB state, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing best practices to streamline and strengthen the CMDB posture. The consultant will work closely with the CMDB Administration team to ensure the CMDB is an accurate, reliable, and up-to-date source of truth for the Bank’s IT assets. The Core Responsibilities! CMDB Assessment and Optimization Conduct a thorough evaluation of the existing CMDB structure, data quality, and processes Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in the CMDB and its associated workflows Develop and implement strategies to optimize the CMDB, ensuring it meets industry standards and best practices Configuration Management Advise on the design and configuration of the CMDB to accurately represent the Bank’s IT infrastructure Define and refine Configuration Item (CI) classes, attributes, and relationships based on ITIL best practices and business requirements Data Maintenance and Administration Provide guidance to the CMDB administration team on day-to-day tasks, including managing CI (Configuration Item) data integrity, troubleshooting Discovery and Service Mapping issues, and maintaining data accuracy through identification and resolution of duplicate or stale CIs Advise on the management of the CI lifecycle, including creation, modification, and retirement, while adhering to IT asset and change management policies Process Improvement Assess and optimize CMDB-related processes and workflows to increase efficiency and streamline operations Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual efforts and enhance data management capabilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements aligned with business objectives Let's Talk About You! 8 years of experience working with ServiceNow, IT asset management, and/or IT service management tools Expertise in the ServiceNow platform from an administrative perspective, including proficiency in Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and Service Mapping Proven track record in CMDB design, implementation, and maintenance Strong understanding of ITIL processes and their application to CMDB management Experience with CI discovery and reconciliation processes Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and creatively Strong documentation skills for processes and procedures Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams What we offer [For full-time permanent roles] Competitive discretionary bonus ✨ Market leading RRSP match program Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits Employee Share Purchase Plan Maternity/Parental top-up while you care for your little one Generous vacation policy and personal days Virtual events to connect with your fellow colleagues Annual professional development allowance and a comprehensive Career Development program A fulfilling opportunity to join one of the top FinTechs and help create a new kind of banking experience Equitable Bank is deeply committed to inclusion.
