This is the opportunity for someone to own the end-to-end global payments strategy at Fanvue, architecting systems that scale, optimising for conversion, managing Global Strategy, and driving innovation in a function that is core to our product and user experience. This is a unique opportunity to shape a high-volume, global payments engine with strategic influence across product, operations, compliance, and finance. What You’ll Do: Strategic Payments Leadership and Growth Own the payments roadmap and strategy for Fanvue, reporting directly to the CEO Treat payments as a growth lever, not a cost centre Drive improvements in success rates, checkout UX, and coverage of local APMs Architect a future-proof, resilient payments infrastructure that supports scale and redundancy Deeply understand our existing stack, the data that sits behind it, and work to push it further forward Optimisation & Execution Drive the conversion rate of global payments, optimising routing, acquirers, retry logic, fallbacks, APMs Handle key relationships across payments with third parties Collaborate closely with Engineering and Product to execute on roadmap priorities Risk, Compliance & Collaboration Work with the Head of Fraud to proactively identify and manage risk Partner with our CFO to ensure clarity and accuracy around reconciliation and fee tracking Stay ahead of regulatory changes in payments and implement them accordingly Document internal payments processes and ensure transparency cross-functionally Who You Are: 5-10 years in high-scale online payment processing. Ideally, experience seeing a business through significant scale as part of this function. Ideal experience having worked with a marketplace or platform. Deep domain expertise in online global payments, including acquirer relationships, APMs, regulatory considerations, and consideration for High Risk Payment Processing. Strong working knowledge of High Risk Payment Processing, the nuances, the regulatory landscape, and near-term future developments. Strong and capable with Data analysis, notably on all payments KPIs. A comprehensive understanding of the underlying technical infrastructure that underpins the European and US payments systems. Experience leading small to medium teams in the context of payments. Why Join Fanvue?
