Head of Private Sector Clients – Defined Benefit Pensions UK-wide (London travel expected, travel expenses covered) £128,000 base £8K car allowance £1K flex benefit 20% bonus Permanent, Full-time Are you a strategic leader with deep technical knowledge of DB pensions and proven success managing client-facing teams ? This is a rare opportunity to step into a head-of-function role where you’ll shape the experience of some of the UK’s most high-profile pension clients. With over 50 private sector clients and revenues ranging from £1K to £5M per project , this isn’t just a relationship role — it's about leading a high-performing client management function in a business that’s scaling and innovating. What You’ll Be Doing Lead a team of 8–9 skilled Pension Managers and Relationship Directors Act as the senior escalation point and guardian of client satisfaction across a major portfolio Influence and drive client engagement models and service delivery quality Work closely with the Managing Director of Private Sector and executive stakeholders Align internal teams (operations, change, proposition) to strategic client needs Oversee performance, revenue forecasts, and strategic account planning You won’t be in the weeds with daily client contact — but you’ll have the gravitas and technical confidence to step into key meetings and represent the business at the highest level. ✅ What We’re Looking For Strong background in Defined Benefit pensions , ideally with third-party admin exposure Experience leading a client relationship function , managing 10 clients A strategic people leader — confident coaching senior staff and setting team direction Commercial awareness and understanding of revenue, cost centres, and SLAs Ideally from a TPA, consultancy or large-scale pension service provider Bonus : You don’t need to be a qualified actuary — but strong technical knowledge is essential.
