Product Owner - FX

My client is seeking a Product Owner with deep FX experience to own and drive the development of our FX and treasury-related products. You will work across cross-functional teams to shape our product strategy, with a focus on FX-as-a-Service, liquidity integration, deposit innovation (including zero-deposit solutions), forwards, and hedging products. This role demands a blend of strategic thinking, market understanding, and hands-on delivery skills. You'll be working closely with engineering, sales, operations, and external partners to deliver high-impact solutions that meet customer needs and strengthen our market position. Key Responsibilities Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for FX and treasury products, from ideation to delivery and ongoing optimization. Define product vision and roadmap for: FX-as-a-Service capabilities Integrated liquidity partnerships (e.g., with Tier 1 providers, ECNs) Forwards and hedging products Deposit and zero-deposit solutions Lead discovery, user research, and requirements gathering with clients and stakeholders. Write clear and actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and product documentation. Collaborate with engineering, compliance, and design to deliver solutions that are scalable, secure, and user-centric. Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory requirements to shape product strategy. Measure product performance through KPIs and customer feedback, continuously iterating for improvement. Serve as subject matter expert on FX and treasury products internally and externally. Experience 2 years of Product Ownership/Product Management experience in fintech, banking, or FX. Proven track record of delivering FX-related products (spot, forwards, swaps, hedging, etc.). Deep understanding of FX markets, liquidity providers, and trading infrastructure. Experience working with or integrating FX-as-a-Service platforms. Exposure to zero-deposit and deposit-based trading products is a strong plus. Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams. Skills Strong analytical, technical, and strategic thinking skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated fintech environment. Familiarity with APIs, trading systems, and financial data architecture. Knowledge of regulatory considerations around FX and treasury operations.
