Data Scientist Up to £60,000 London An award-winning research and data consultancy at the forefront of politics, public opinion, and data science is seeking a talented Data Scientist to drive innovative statistical work and shape the future of political insight. About the Company: Founded by policy and polling experts, this boutique consultancy has quickly grown to a 40-person team known for its remarkably accurate UK and US election predictions. Clients include government bodies, think tanks, corporates, and hedge funds, with projects spanning political strategy, reputation management, and crisis response. The Role: Develop predictive models and statistical tools, primarily using R Design and execute analyses including regression, segmentation, and small area estimation (SRP) Maintain and enhance a growing library of custom data science functions Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for clients Collaborate closely with research and consulting teams Support and mentor junior analysts as the team expands About You: Proficient in R with a strong foundation in statistical modelling Experience working with survey, polling, or census data Background in market research, policy, think tanks, or consultancy Strong communication skills – able to bridge technical depth and client needs Interest in politics, public opinion, or reputation and public affairs Ambitious and collaborative – excited to help grow a high-impact team Interview Process: Introductory call with Lead Data Scientist Interview with one of the Founders Take-home task followed by informal team presentation
