Staff Software Engineer Salary Range: $180,000 - $240,000 equity Location: Location: Seaport, NYC Work Type: On-site Our Client is a high-growth startup focused on building the automated back office for financial firms, using AI to analyze millions of data points from emails to text messages, marketing copy, investment accounts, filings, and more to identify regulatory violations. Role and Responsibilities Push your first PR to production on Day 1. Understand the core problems Our Client solves, our ICP, our value proposition, the Our Client platform, pricing structure, and roadmap. Learn the Our Client way: how we work and build for high growth. Get up to speed on the codebase. Contribute to product discussions in weekly all hands. Implement a big feature that directly leads to new revenue for the business. Stand out on the team in sheer contribution. Build for more new revenue streams, respond to existing customer feedback and requests, becoming a master of your domain. Continuing to develop the above skillset, paying special attention to scaling challenges and stability as we bring on more and more clients. Training and hiring new team members to take over your code as you scale your impact across the team. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Exceptionally skilled: You are highly competent as an engineer, coming from 1,000s of hours of practice. Coachable: Open to learning the Our Client way and raising the bar while you're at it. Grit: You're consistently the hardest working person on your team. All-in: This is not a 9-5.
