Senior In-house Commercial & Data/Products Lawyer (Leeds based)

This is an exceptional opportunity for a mid-level to senior lawyer to add real value to this growing international business, headquartered in Leeds. Fantastic benefits including 29 days absence days/holiday, generous bonus, 40% office-based - highly collaborative environment Day to day, as senior legal counsel (4 PQE to senior), you will report to the Legal Director DPO and provide advice to the UK & European business on the development of new, leading edge data services and the use of data assets, whilst ensuring compliance with licence terms, legislation, industry codes and policy. In addition, you will: Create contract templates for the sale of new services, train the client contracting team on the templates and provide expert support to live client contract negotiations. Support legal and regulatory horizon-scanning and engagement with external stakeholders, including responding to consultations and queries from regulators and trade associations. Support service launch and change management in key markets outside the UK where the Group's services may be licensed for use, including instructing and managing local counsel. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercial lawyer with experience gained either in-house or in private practice. Experience in FS would be of interest (contentious or non-contentious) and data experience will be welcomed. You will be an exceptional communicator, well-used to dealing with key stakeholders (or clients) both internal and external. You will join a fabulous and collegiate environment.
