Position: QA Tester


Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid)


Reports to: QA Director in IT division


Travel: 0-10%


Role overview


DUAL North America, Inc. is seeking a QA Tester to join the team. The Software Tester is a collaborative position involving the testing and implementation of corporate software application changes. A strong testing acumen coupled with professional communication skills is required. Experience in software systems testing, preferably in the Property and Casualty Insurance industry, is essential. Prior experience with the software development and implementation life cycle will be necessary to develop test plans, test software changes, and resolve issues.


Role responsibilities



  1. Review business requirements and develop functional test plans for quality assurance and user acceptance testing

  2. Execute test plans and ensure the system application meets all acceptance criteria

  3. Collaborate with the Product Owner, software development team, and QA Manager to understand requirements and assist with issue resolution

  4. Work in an agile environment for the full software development life cycle

  5. Understand change requirements and acceptance criteria, providing feedback for clarification

  6. Assist with issue tracking and resolution until fully resolved

  7. Support software release activities and troubleshoot reported issues


Key requirements



  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field

  • Two+ years of software testing experience

  • Experience with manual and/or automated testing tools

  • Understanding of Agile methodology preferred

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience in the Property and Casualty Insurance industry preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools

  • Comfort with diverse technologies

  • Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks

  • Availability to work outside standard hours occasionally

  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment

  • Authorized to work in the US
