Job Purpose: We’re looking for an Engineering Manager - DBA to lead and mentor a high-performing team of Database Administrators (DBAs). In this role, you'll oversee the operation of our critical transactional platform, ensuring reliability and efficiency. Additionally, you’ll play a key role in innovating how our digital products are designed through data solutions. Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of DBAs. Implement best practices for database administration, including performance tuning, security, and disaster recovery. Oversee all aspects of database operations, including installation, upgrades, migrations, patching, and application development. Collaborate with development, architecture, and service teams to ensure seamless database deployments and integrations. Participate in capacity planning and resource allocation for the DBA team. Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and best practices. Support live platforms beyond just databases, including contributing to real-time BI platforms. Key Skills and Experience: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a 24x7 operational environment. Expertise in database administration (Performance Tuning, Security, Clustering, etc.). Hands-on experience with MySQL, MariaDB, or Oracle. Strong experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS. Knowledge of Linux, particularly CentOS or similar. Experience with NoSQL databases, especially MongoDB, is a plus.
