Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Position : Senior Embedded System Engineer Menlo Park, CA I $175k A biotechnology startup is looking to bring on a Senior Embedded System Engineer to own the development of the firmware and system-level software for their next-gen next-gen wearable health device. This is a hands-on role dedicated to creating embedded solutions that bridge innovative sensor hardware with scalable digital infrastructure. Responsibilities Develop and maintain embedded firmware for low-power wearable health devices Integrate hardware and software components, ensuring reliable system performance Implement wireless communication protocols (e.g., BLE) for real-time data transfer Debug, test, and optimize embedded systems for accuracy, efficiency, and stability Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring prototypes from concept to production Requirements : Expert in C/C++ for embedded development; solid Python skills for scripting, testing, and analysis Deep familiarity with SPI, I2C, UART, and BLE communication protocols Hands-on experience with firmware-hardware bring-up and debug tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.) Familiarity with wireless technologies and modern networking concepts 7 years of experience designing and building embedded systems for compact, battery-powered devices Benefits Include: Medical, dental & vision insurance Generous PTO and paid holidays 401(k) Options If interested please submit your most updated resume!
