Programme Manager – Data Change Delivery Location: London / Hybrid Working A leading insurance organisation is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to join their Data Change Delivery team. This is a high-impact role focused on business-led data transformation , not technical delivery. You will work closely with senior business leaders across Underwriting, Claims, Finance, and Operations to ensure the successful execution of key data-driven initiatives. Important: Deep insurance industry experience is essential. Candidates without strong insurance sector knowledge will not be considered. You must understand how insurance businesses operate across functions and how data underpins commercial decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Lead the delivery of complex data transformation initiatives, engaging directly with business leadership. Manage programme governance, stakeholder communication, risk management, and delivery oversight. Translate business needs into structured delivery plans, ensuring data initiatives drive real business value. Deliver large-scale, end-to-end programmes – from concept and design through to full implementation and benefits realisation . Act as the critical bridge between business teams and delivery squads (technical teams are adjacent but not within your remit). Champion best practices in change management and data adoption within the insurance context. Required Experience: Proven programme management experience in insurance – London Market or global (carriers, syndicates, or brokers). Strong background delivering business-led data change programmes (not IT infrastructure projects). Demonstrable experience delivering large-scale programmes end-to-end , including shaping the original concept, business case development, mobilisation, delivery, and embedding. Expertise in stakeholder engagement, influencing senior executives, and managing cross-functional change. Track record of driving data maturity improvements (e.g., data quality, governance, reporting transformation) in an insurance environment. Ability to operate at pace and cut through ambiguity.
