Location: London (Hybrid) Industry: Software / Technology Overview A high-growth, product-led technology company is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and scale internal business operations. This is a key role responsible for strengthening IT systems, enhancing security and compliance, optimizing internal processes, and supporting the company’s continued expansion through operational excellence. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in operations within a software or technology-focused organization and will be adept at driving efficiency, cross-functional collaboration, and data-informed decision-making across all business functions. Role Purpose The Operations Manager will ensure the business runs smoothly, efficiently, and securely, supporting both product and commercial teams. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strategic mindset, capable of identifying operational gaps, delivering scalable solutions, and enabling the business to perform at a high level while preparing for future growth. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and continuously improve operational processes to support growth and scalability Lead and coordinate cross-functional projects aligned with company priorities and strategic goals Introduce and maintain systems and tools that increase productivity and performance visibility Oversee internal IT operations and infrastructure, including security protocols, access management, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR) Manage onboarding processes for new employees and contractors, ensuring effective system access and integration Facilitate seamless collaboration between technical and non-technical teams to improve operational alignment Evaluate and manage third-party suppliers, including procurement, contract negotiation, and performance oversight Lead day-to-day office operations and support a productive, well-functioning workplace Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying inefficiencies and implementing data-driven enhancements Track and report on KPIs to monitor and improve operational effectiveness Skills & Competencies Strong capabilities in process design, systems thinking, and project execution Excellent organizational and stakeholder management skills Analytical thinker with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving Clear communicator with the ability to bridge technical and business needs Proficient with modern business tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack, project management software, SaaS platforms) Financial and commercial understanding, especially around vendor contracts and budgeting Required Experience Experience in a similar operations leadership role within a software or tech-driven company Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver cross-functional initiatives at pace Solid understanding of IT governance, cybersecurity, and compliance requirements in a technology setting Proven success in streamlining and scaling operational functions in a growth-oriented environment Strong track record of managing external suppliers and internal systems Personal Attributes Proactive and results-driven with a strong sense of ownership Detail-focused while maintaining awareness of the bigger picture Calm, adaptable, and effective in fast-paced environments Collaborative and versatile, comfortable working across a wide range of responsibilities High integrity, professionalism, and discretion Preferred but Not Required Experience supporting operations in a scaling or international tech company Familiarity with developer tools or open-source software environments
