Senior Network Engineer

Senior Networking Engineer Permanent £70,000 - £80,000 per annum 4 days a week on site in London I am looking for a Senior Networking Engineer to join a thriving IT solutions consultancy offering the chance to work on the most exciting data centre technologies! Currently delivering a major new data centre implementation project for a financial services client, this is a fantastic opportunity to work at the cutting edge of low-latency network design, colocation infrastructure, and network automation. You will play a critical role in designing, building, and supporting high-performance, highly available network solutions across global trading environments. If you thrive in a fast-paced, DevOps-focused environment and have a passion for automation and next-gen technologies, this is for you. You will need skills in: CCNP-level qualified or equivalent real-world expertise. Strong routing knowledge - especially BGP. Hands-on with Cisco IOS-XR, Cisco NX-OS, and/or Arista EOS. Proven experience deploying networks in low latency Proven experience in financial trading environments. Solid knowledge of WAN technologies, optical networking, and fibre waves. Proficient in network automation (Ansible, Python, Jinja2, Git, Terraform, Jenkins). Experience in: Multicast configuration and troubleshooting Layer 1 MUX switching Packet tapping and timestamping Network security principles (VPNs, QoS, protected/unprotected circuits) Comfortable working with monitoring tools, handling network migration and handover.
