Contract Opportunity: Health Researcher / Data Scientist – Microsimulation Location: Ottawa, Toronto, or Remote (Canada-based, EST time zone) About the Role Seeking a Health Researcher/Data Scientist to develop a proof-of-concept microsimulation model for patient flows in seniors and continuing care. The project aims to support health system capacity planning and policy analysis. Key Responsibilities Build individual-level microsimulation models in Python or R Use frameworks like SimPy, mesa, OpenM, etc. Integrate demographic and clinical data Validate and analyze simulation models Communicate insights to technical and non-technical audiences Ideal Skills ✔ Understanding of large data sets, data flows, linked large data sets ✔ Experience with simulation modeling tools, ideally micro-simulations ✔ Prefer Python, R is okay ✔ Health research or epidemiology background (Understanding of healthcare systems and healthcare data)
