Contract DBA – Remote/Hybrid – £300 per day (Inside IR35) We’re currently seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to support a high-impact data migration and performance tuning project on a contract basis. Location: Primarily remote – one day per month in office Day Rate: £300/day (Inside IR35) Start Date: ASAP Duration: Initial 6 months, with potential extension Key Responsibilities: Deliver on a major data migration project (data centre to data centre) Perform BAU support and troubleshooting across a complex data estate Conduct performance tuning and architecture analysis Run SQL Server analysis to understand application usage Support and manage application-related data requirements Assist with basic testing and end-to-end project delivery Go beyond traditional DBA maintenance—think strategically and analytically Essential Skills: 5 years’ experience with SQL Server (2016 and above) Strong T-SQL abilities (writing, optimizing, troubleshooting) Azure cloud exposure, especially on-prem to Azure migration Skilled in PowerShell scripting Solid grasp of SQL Server Service Bus and modern architecture practices Interview Process: Single-stage Teams interview Quick turnaround and onboarding Please note: This role is Inside IR35 UK-based candidates only No visa sponsorship available Ready to bring your DBA expertise to a dynamic and forward-thinking data project?
