Head of Autonomous Driving Technology & AI Development

We are now growing our team to solve some of the hardest automated driving problems and are looking for experts in product engineering of AI-based Autonomous Driving systems.
As the Head of Technology and Development for ADAS in North America, you will lead the technical vision, strategy, and execution for our global advanced driver assistance systems development and deployment. This includes driving innovation, overseeing a high-performing engineering team, and collaborating closely with global counterparts to deliver cutting-edge L2+ and L3 ADAS solutions. You will focus on the overall functional ADAS technology roadmap and define the ADAS development and delivery ecosystem to enable our success, including managing a global, multi-project data-driven platform for training, testing, and deploying AI models focused on ADAS systems.
Responsibilities

Lead ADAS Technology Strategy: Define and execute the North American ADAS technology roadmap, aligned with global Bosch strategy and customer needs, including architecture, technology selection, and development processes.

Drive Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation by exploring emerging technologies and evaluating new concepts, algorithms, and hardware to enhance our ADAS offerings.

Build and Manage Teams: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of skilled engineers, managing resources, performance, and talent acquisition.

Global Collaboration: Work closely with global ADAS teams to ensure alignment and leverage regional synergies.

AI Development Ecosystem Ownership: Build and lead a global team to define the data lifecycle and business processes for developing and deploying ML-based ADAS systems. Oversee the design of the ADAS system delivery ecosystem, including data acquisition, processing, model training, testing, validation, and deployment. Ensure seamless AI model integration into the broader ADAS software architecture and promote modern software development and DevOps practices (CI/CD, Agile). Stay updated on AI/ML trends and adapt the ecosystem accordingly.

Customer Engagement & Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with key automotive industry customers and partners to understand their needs and inform product development.
Basic Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years in software engineering, with focus on embedded systems, automotive, or robotics, including data-driven software development with ML/AI.
- Proven track record in leading complex software projects in the ADAS domain over the last 5 years.
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with data lifecycle management.
- Proficiency in C++, Python, and relevant programming languages.
- Experience with ADAS system architecture for L2+ and L3 autonomy.
- Strong leadership and management skills for large, dispersed teams.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with senior management and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of automotive standards and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Leadership experience with large, diverse, global project teams.
- Ability to interact with C-Suite management and develop strategic visions.
- Knowledge of automated driving technologies and the automotive industry.
- Adaptability to new business challenges and cloud architecture solutions for a multi-customer landscape.
The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $290,000 - $450,000. Compensation includes benefits such as health plans, HSA, FSA, 401(K), wellness programs, insurance, paid time off, and parental leave. Salary details will be discussed during the interview process. Bosch complies with all applicable laws regarding drug testing and background checks before employment commencement.
