Senior Appian Developer

Astor & Sanders Corporation (Astor) is an award-winning IT solutions provider headquartered in McLean, VA, seeking a Senior Appian Developer. This is a full-time, hybrid position.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Federal and Commercial client stakeholders to re-engineer business processes and translate requirements into BPM code.
  • Gather functional and technical system requirements.
  • Design and develop Appian applications and provide customer demonstrations.
  • Incorporate functional requirements into Appian business flows using Process Models, Rules, CDT, and Web Service Integration.
  • Design and implement complex enterprise integrations using industry-standard technologies.
  • Contribute to the BPM and Case Management practice by sharing best practices.
  • Support user testing and business transition activities.
  • Follow Federal standards for Digital Services and US Web Design Standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or a related IT field.
  • 7+ years of Appian development experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in software development.
  • Experience with Web Applications and Relational Databases (SQL Server, Oracle).
  • Cloud implementation experience, preferably with AWS.
  • Agile/SAFe certifications or equivalent experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including customer interaction, requirements analysis, presentations, and system design.
  • Ability to obtain necessary security clearance.
  • Familiarity with Business Process Management Platforms, preferably Appian.
  • Appian Certification.
