Senior Analyst, Online Qualitative Research

Position Functions

At C+R, all analysts work directly with senior managers and owners, who are also analysts working on projects, as well as face-to-face with clients. Our client brands are mostly Fortune 1,000 companies (both B2C and B2B), and our teams utilize innovative methodologies across various categories.

The Online Qualitative Research Senior Analyst collaborates with a team to apply digital research tools and approaches to client requests. Responsibilities include overseeing and executing online qualitative research projects from design and proposals to analysis, reporting, and client presentations. The role involves working with integrated teams across in-person qualitative, quantitative, and operational practices.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist senior researchers in responding to RFPs with research design, methodology, timeline, and cost proposals.
  2. Develop and apply qualitative research methods to meet client issues and objectives.
  3. Create discussion guides aligned with research goals.
  4. Manage all aspects of qualitative projects, including field coordination, digital platform setup, quality control, moderation, and reporting. Support more complex projects as needed.
  5. Moderate online qualitative research activities across various platforms.
  6. Develop final reports, including presentation setup, data analysis, and narrative writing, highlighting findings and recommendations.
  7. Support senior researchers in report writing for complex projects.
  8. Leverage creative storytelling techniques in qualitative methodologies.
  9. Coordinate and facilitate client sessions and debriefs.
  10. Contribute to training and development of Analysts and Associates.
  11. Assist in hybrid qualitative and quantitative analysis and reporting.
  12. Participate in client meetings and presentations as required.
  13. Possess 4+ years’ experience in custom marketing research.
  14. Have hands-on experience with online qualitative methods (e.g., communities, discussion boards, ethnographies, interviews).
  15. Demonstrate leadership, organization, and attention to detail.
  16. Exhibit excellent communication skills.
  17. Be resourceful, inquisitive, and passionate about consumer research.
  18. Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  19. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint.
  20. Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  21. Comfortable with internet technologies and online research platforms.
  22. Experience with online communities, journaling platforms, and mobile research tools.

Education Required

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Marketing Research, Psychology, Sociology, Communication, or related fields.
