Senior Software Development Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Develop API Specifications using Swagger/Open API;
• Design and develop API platform to connect to various backend systems for seamless data exchange;
• Design, develop, and implement high-performance Webhooks and WebSockets event consumer platform;
• Troubleshoot and test all features, systems, and functionalities of end systems.

What we're looking for:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or a foreign equivalent;
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role or related occupation;
• 5 years of experience in Java programming, including multithreading, concurrency, generics, streams, lambda expressions, design patterns, JVM tuning, etc.;
• Experience in architecture design for clusters and regions handling large data volumes, including cluster deployment, backup, and migration;
• Experience in load balancing techniques and designing scalable systems for large webhook or websocket traffic;
• Experience in authentication and authorization mechanisms like OAuth, JWT, and API keys for securing interactions;
• Knowledge of asynchronous communication using Kafka and handling large data volumes, including partition setup, consumer configuration, and troubleshooting;
• Experience with SQL in MySQL, including transaction management, MVCC, large volume data storage, table and cache design, cluster deployment, backup, and migration; also familiarity with NoSQL databases like Redis, DynamoDB, and Caffeine.

Telecommuting work arrangement permitted: position may work in various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

Minimum: $185,000.00

Maximum: $228,700.00

In addition to base salary and/or OTE, Zoom considers Total Direct Compensation, including base salary, bonus, and equity.

Note: Starting pay depends on qualifications and experience, and may vary by location.
